Pre-camp in Zürich

Pre-camp was held in Zürich, Switzerland and it lasted about 6 days.  Pre-camp consisted of detailed practices working on strategic skills, systems, and preparation for the tournament.

We arrive in Zug and had our media day!  We had headshots and team picture followed by a team practice.

Game 2 of Preliminary round

I was honored to be named Player of the Game in our second match of the tournament, where we faced the host country, Switzerland. I recorded 1 goal and 2 assists in the game, helping secure a dominant 8-1 victory. It was a great team effort, and I was proud to contribute to such a strong performance.

Semi Final Win!

Celebration with family

Game 2 of Preliminary round

We beat Finland in the semi finals to advance to the gold medal game against Czechia.  This was the celebration leaving  the ice heading into the locker room.

Celebration with family

It was an indescribable feeling—one that’s still hard to put into words. After receiving our gold medals and capturing the team photo, I skated over to the glass where my family was waiting. I took a picture with the biggest smile on my face because the people behind me are my greatest supporters. I genuinely would not have been there without them, and that moment was a testament to all of their unwavering support.

Celebration with family

After winning the gold and celebrating on the ice with our teammates, the festivities continued as we boarded the bus back to the hotel. Upon entering the hotel lobby, we were met by all of our parents, who had gathered to congratulate and celebrate with us. We enjoyed a special dinner with our families, and the celebration lasted well into the night. It was a truly unforgettable experience, surrounded by those who supported us every step of the way.

My USA Hockey Experience

USA Hockey has provided me with the incredible opportunity to showcase my talent on the world stage. My experience with the program has been nothing short of amazing. Wearing the jersey is a feeling I’ll never forget, and playing for something larger than myself and my team is equally unforgettable. USA Hockey has opened doors for me, and now playing for the United States Olympic Team feels like a tangible goal. The program offers both an educational and motivational experience, leaving me with valuable insights and areas for improvement after every camp or international tournament. Each experience with USA Hockey empowers me to continue growing and pushing myself forward.  Being a part of USA Hockey has significantly contributed to my growth both as a person and as a player, mentally and physically. The mental toughness required at the highest level was something I had to adapt to quickly. Playing for the U18 National Team taught me how to handle adversity and embrace a specific role within a team. Competing at the world championship level is a completely different experience—if you stop to take it all in, you're already one step behind. The coaching staff strikes the perfect balance between being supportive and pushing you in ways that challenge you to exceed your limits, even when it's uncomfortable.  USA Hockey has given me some of my greatest experiences, and every day, I work to get one step closer to the opportunity to wear that jersey again.
